Inventory the stored materials
List chemicals, gases, reagents, samples and supplies by room. Use current SDS information and expected maximum quantities.
Request a QuoteLaboratory safety storage planning
Build a room-by-room safety storage schedule before selecting cabinet models or requesting a project quotation.
Safatrix supports product selection and model-document requests for safety cabinets, corrosive cabinets, gas cylinder cabinets, reagent cabinets and laboratory fume hoods.
Planning workflow
Do not begin with a cabinet count. First define what each room stores, how people use it and which building systems affect the equipment.
List chemicals, gases, reagents, samples and supplies by room. Use current SDS information and expected maximum quantities.
Separate flammable, corrosive, incompatible, compressed-gas and general room-temperature storage needs.
Check work flow, access, available footprint, door clearance, service routes and separation from conflicting activities.
Compare internal layout and dimensions, then request drawings, specifications and project-required records for each model.
Laboratory types
Laboratory type provides context; the actual inventory and room conditions still determine the storage equipment.
Separate flammable liquids, acids, alkalis, reagents and cylinder services before assigning cabinet locations.
Chemical laboratory storage →Distinguish general reagents and samples from materials that need controlled temperature, humidity or restricted access.
Research laboratory storage →Coordinate shared-room access, changing chemical inventories, student use and storage points near preparation areas.
School laboratory storage →Plan storage for acids, standards, extraction solvents, samples and gas cylinders used across different test methods.
Testing laboratory storage →Separate routine reagents, solvents, samples and cleaning chemicals according to their actual hazards and storage conditions.
Testing laboratory storage →Allow for multiple client methods, varied container sizes and a document trail that links each cabinet to the selected model.
Third-party testing storage →Room data
Record the same fields for every room so products, quantities and document requests can be compared consistently.
Equipment coordination
One laboratory may use several equipment families. Keep active work-area exhaust separate from closed storage, and verify every selected model independently.
Packaged solvents and flammable liquids; check containers, capacity, doors and model documents.

Planning questions
Use the answers to prepare room data, product routes and model-document requests.
Safatrix can help organize safety-storage requirements, compare product families, identify model information to request and prepare a cabinet quotation. Full laboratory engineering, construction and code approval are outside this scope unless separately confirmed.
Prepare the room list, stored-material inventory, current SDS, maximum quantities, largest containers, access needs and available installation dimensions.
Not automatically. Different rooms and materials can require different storage routes. Start with the inventory and hazard or storage condition for each room.
Use the expected maximum inventory, container dimensions, usable internal layout, separation plan and room distribution. A nominal gallon rating alone is not a cabinet-count calculation.
Safatrix can respond about listed products and available dimensions. Final room layout, egress, utilities, exhaust, code and engineering approval remain with the project team.
For each selected model, list the specification, external and internal dimensions, drawing, material information and any named project record required for review.
Planning intake
